Christian Troy
Protagonists with a negative or different touch have ever come across as legendary characters. There is this case with Hamlet, Oedipus and Jughead (of Archies’ fame). Julian McMohan’s character Christian Troy is getting close to that bracket with the evolution of every Nip/Tuck series. His character has been well thought of by the creator Ryan Murphy.
Origin of his idiosyncrasy
Logically, his no-regret theory may have sprung from his parentage. He has biblical parentage and is a result of rape. The cruelty of the incident has left shades of adultery in him. He presumes that the only place for a woman, if not on the operation table, is in his bed. He has gone a whole hog with countless women since the series begun, using all sorts of treachery and seduction tactic. His womanizing may have put Don Juan to shame.
The balancing act
Where he balances the act is with a faithful friendship with the sedate Sean Mcnamara. They both are plastic surgeons and have started from the same Miami College. Good in work, (not as good as Sean though), he has a golden heart for Sean and his son Matt. This is a confusion of sorts as Matt is actually his son. His love for supposed children has also been shown when he played surrogate father to a child he mostly believed to be his own.
Chart topper
The present generation loves to be turned on by sex, and so adores Julian McMohan extremely. He has been a vital part of many explicit sex scenes and has been awarded for the portrayals. Though after having been carved by the ‘Carver’, a take on Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs), he has gone into a perplexed shell, and is quite confused about his role in life. Sean may be there to provide a supportive shoulder, but will he survive the storm?
